Yes. Chippenham Museum at 9–10 Market Place has free entry and opens six days a week, Monday to Saturday, between 10am and 4pm. Its What’s in Store exhibition runs until 21 November, and a free talk on Saturday 14 November needs booking.

Chippenham Town Council runs free bandstand concerts in John Coles Park on Sunday afternoons from May to September, from 3pm to 5pm. The park also has a sensory garden, tennis courts and a refreshment kiosk open all year, which makes it a reliable Chippenham meeting spot.
